Language is a key tool in a child’s development. Through language, children learn to
communicate, express their feelings, think, interact with others, and understand the world around them. When a child is slow to start speaking, uses very few words, or struggles to form sentences, it may indicate a delay in language acquisition.
This delay doesn’t always have a clear cause. In some cases, it is related to genetic, environmental, or stimulation factors. In others, it may be part of a broader disorder. Early
detection is crucial, as timely intervention significantly improves the prognosis.
In our consultations, we conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand the child’s language abilities: how well they understand what is said, how they express themselves, the
vocabulary they use, sentence construction, and how they communicate in their environment.
Based on this, we design an intervention plan tailored to the child’s age, pace, and needs.
We use play as the main tool, with activities that naturally and enjoyably stimulate speech. We
also work with parents and caregivers, providing guidance and strategies to support language
development at home and in everyday life.
The goal is for the child to speak more fluently, expand their vocabulary, better understand what is said to them, and gain confidence in communication. The earlier the intervention begins, the better the long-term outcomes, both emotionally and academically.
